Overall, it seemed like most of the characters in this novel associated women to sex and nothing else. Based on this scenario of Baby being scared and easily manipulated by Alphonse, I can predict that Baby is going to be too scared to break up with Alphonse, and he might start to abuse her and take advantage of her more, knowing that she is too scared to get help or leave him.
